March 2010 SLATE Meeting

This is a reminder that our next monthly SLATE meeting will be on Wednesday, March 17th beginning @ 10:00am and hosted by the Lewis University. So that Lewis can prepare for our visit, it is very important that you RSVP back to Ken Sadowski by Monday, March 15th with the names of those who will be attending from your institution. We will be meeting in the first floor Media Room, in the Learning Resource Center (#22 on the campus map). Additional information at the end of this message.

Agenda: Student Identity in Blackboard

Mike Jortberg of Acxiom will explain Blackboard's Premier Partner program in which Blackboard users can verify student identity at no cost. He will present experiences from dozens of student identity projects and his most recent paper on the topic, covering these subjects:

• Integrity in Online Education
• Higher Education Industry Regulations
• Risks Drive Identity Requirements
• Preparedness and Best Practices
• Optional demo in Bb8/9, CE/Vista, Angel and Identity verification reporting
