This is a reminder that our next monthly SLATE meeting will be on Wednesday, March 16th beginning @ 9:50am and hosted by Moody Bible Institute. We will be in the Northfield Room, which is on the first floor of the Alumni Student Center. Additional information, parking, maps, etc., can be found at the end of this message. So that Moody can prepare for our visit, it is very important that you RSVP back to me by Monday, March 14th with the names of those who will be attending from your institution.
Main Agenda – Driving to Bb9: roadblocks, detours & new construction (part 1)As a lot of us will be moving to version 9.x over the next couple months, this discussion is both timely and very important. Version 9.x will offer a new experience to the users and some challenges for those supporting faculty. At this meeting, lets see if we can identify some of the obvious (and not so obvious) things to look out for; share ideas for making this a smooth transition on your campus; discuss testing, rollout, and training plans; and any "gotcha's" that have shown up on the listserves, discussion forums, or from the cohort meetings. This will be part 1 of this discussion, which will continue at the May meeting at NIU to see where we are and if we are ready.
If you are unable to attend in person – the monthly SLATE meetings are now streamed live thanks to our friends at Wimba – we are using Wimba Classroom.

Additional information of note
Directions: Those who are taking public transportation should come right to the meeting area to receive a visitor's pass and go straight to the room (stops on both the Brown line and Red line are close to Moody).
Free parking on the campus is limited, but some will be set aside for those who are driving. Those who are driving should pull into the drop off parking area next to Alumni Student Center and go in to pick up a parking pass and visitor's pass. They will be directed to the parking area from there. If you are driving, I would allow an extra 10 minutes to pick up a parking pass, park, and get back to the meeting.
