August 2011 SLATE Meeting

This is a reminder that our next monthly SLATE meeting will be this coming Wednesday, August 17th beginning @ 10:00am and hosted by Northwestern University (Evanston Campus). We will be meeting in the Norris University Center, in the Big 10 Room. Additional information, parking, maps, etc., can be found at the end of this message.  So that Northwestern can prepare for our visit, it is very important that you RSVP back to Ken Sadowski by this Monday, August 15th, with the names of those who will be attending from your institution.

Main Agenda – Blackboard Course Files: A Powerful Integration for 9.1

Northwestern Academic & Research Technologies staff supporting Blackboard 9.1 (SP5) instance, will briefly demonstrate features of CourseFiles (software that is now a part of Learn) and lead the discussion on how this new set of features might be introduced to faculty and used effectively in many Blackboard course sites. CourseFiles offers instructors easy options for sharing whole folders with students, without having to upload and name the files one-by-one, along with many other useful features.
