December 2009 SLATE Meeting Notes

The December 2009 Midwest Blackboard Users Group (SLATE) meeting was held at Roosevelt University on December 16, 2009. 28 members representing the following institutions attended:

For the first time, the meeting was also streamed live. In addition to those participating in-person, nearly 4o additional individuals from across the U.S. and U.K. participated live online, representing institutions including:

• Kendall College
• Lewis University
  
• Oregon University
• Southern Illinois University
• Teesside University
  

Other institutions were represented, but we didn't catch all the institution names! If we left out your institution, leave a comment and let us know so we can add it.

Due to some last minute technical issues, the meeting was streamed live using Livestream instead of Wimba Classroom. We're still working out the technical logistics and optimal hardware setup for streaming the monthly sessions. We plan to stream future meetings via Wimba Classroom.

By popular demand, SLATE engaged in its 3rd annual "white elephant" holiday gift exchange. A little holiday cheer was enjoyed by all.
