Faculty Emergency Preparedness: What do faculty need to know about teaching and technology
The polar vortex that gripped Chicago for much of the winter brought some harsh realities to universities struggling to keep their campuses open, safely. Can online course components help ease this situation? If faculty are prepared to teach several class periods online for each of their face-to-face courses, they will be better prepared for all types of campus emergencies and shut downs. But what should faculty know? In other words: what should a faculty preparedness curriculum contain? And what role does the campus LMS play in helping faculty prepare?
Join the discuss of how campuses face potential campus shut downs and what role instructional technologists and IT professionals play in the preparation of faculty. |
